About this tour

Exploring the center of civilization in Yogyakarta, tour around the city center, then proceeding to one of the UNESCO-protected sites, namely Borobudur. Nearby, visit Mount Merapi, the most active volcano on the island of Java. The journey concludes with a visit to the Yogyakarta Palace, enjoying the nostalgia of the kingdom and its heritage.

Learning ancient culture of Central Java as we believe is the central of all civilization in Java Island. Observe more deep of their culture and local people that has unique activities that quite interesting to learned.

On day to day acvitities itinerary, we will see culture heritage that influence the people from XIV centuries. Heritage of ancient kingdom in Java is also fascinating to learn and discover at this tour. Other object that we also could see is the places with several kings were exhiled and medidated in remote places.  The objective was to gain their wisdom and their mighty of martial art against their adversary in the ancient time.

Itinerary

Welcome to Yogyakarta! Our team will pick you up from the airport or train station and take you for lunch.

After lunch, you will visit Prambanan, a Hindu temple complex located near Yogyakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest temple complexes in Southeast Asia. The temples are dedicated to the Trimurti, the three main Hindu deities—Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.

In the evening, you will enjoy dinner and watch the Ramayana ballet performance held at Prambanan. Ramayana Sendratari is a traditional Javanese dance drama that depicts the story of Ramayana, an ancient Indian epic. The narrative follows Prince Rama's journey as he rescues his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana with the help of the monkey god Hanuman and his monkey army. The performance typically involves intricate costumes, artistic dance choreography, and live gamelan music, creating a captivating show. Ramayana holds deep cultural and religious significance in Hinduism and has been retold in various forms across different cultures in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia.

After breakfast, we will take you to Borobudur, the magnificent Buddhist temple located in Central Java, Indonesia. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest Buddhist temples in the world. Borobudur is renowned for its stunning architecture and intricate reliefs. The temple consists of multiple tiers, each representing a stage of enlightenment.

Next, you will visit Candirejo, a traditional Javanese village located near Borobudur. Here, you will get a glimpse of the local Javanese lifestyle and experience the culture by participating in traditional activities such as batik making, farming, and Javanese dance performances.

After lunch, we will visit Kaliadem, near Mount Merapi, an active volcano in Central Java. While there, visitors can learn about the volcano's history and witness the beauty of the surrounding nature.

Today you will visit Dieng, a highland area in Central Java, Indonesia. The journey to Dieng involves winding roads that offer breathtaking views. This highland region holds cultural significance, with a history dating back to ancient times. It is home to several Hindu temples, dating from the 8th and 9th centuries, reflecting the historical and religious significance of the area. Dieng is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, including volcanic craters, lakes, and lush green hills.

On the fourth day, we will take you to Pindul Cave located in Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This cave is renowned for its beautiful stalactites and stalagmites and is often used for underground rafting activities. You can explore the cave by using inner tubes, experiencing the tranquility and uniqueness of the cave formed by the flowing river inside.

Next, we will take you to Timang Beach, famous for its extreme suspension bridge. This bridge connects the mainland to a small coral island in the middle of the sea. Visitors can enjoy stunning sea views while experiencing the sensation of walking on a swinging suspension bridge.

Finally, we will go to Malioboro. Malioboro is the main street in downtown Yogyakarta, known for its various shops and stalls.

On the last day before the transfer out, you will visit Keraton Yogyakarta, a palace complex that reflects the grandeur and cultural heritage of Java. With beautiful architecture and rich artistic details, Keraton Yogyakarta serves as a symbol of traditional power and beauty. You can explore the palace rooms, view art collections, and understand its rich history.

Next, you will proceed to Taman Sari, a former royal complex with astonishing features. This place is famous for its beautiful swimming pool and lush gardens. Here, you can experience the elegance and tranquility of the water gardens designed for the enjoyment of the royal family in the past.
