Itinerary

Welcome to Yogyakarta! Our team will pick you up at the airport or train station and take you for lunch.

After lunch, you will visit Prambanan, a Hindu temple complex located near Yogyakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest temple complexes in Southeast Asia. The temple is dedicated to the Trimurti, the three main Hindu gods—Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.

In the evening, you will enjoy dinner and watch the Ramayana ballet performance held at Prambanan. The Ramayana Ballet is a traditional Javanese dance drama that depicts the story of Ramayana, an ancient Indian epic. It follows the journey of Prince Rama as he rescues his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana with the help of the monkey god Hanuman and his army of monkeys. The performance typically involves intricate costumes, artistic dance choreography, and live gamelan music, creating a captivating show. The Ramayana holds deep cultural and religious significance in Hinduism and has been retold in various forms across Southeast Asian cultures, including Indonesia.

Early in the morning, we will take you to Borobudur to witness the sunrise. There are specific points at Borobudur that are popular for observing the sunrise. The higher you ascend, the better the panoramic views of the lush landscape and the sunrise. The top platform offers a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding greenery and nearby volcanoes.

Next, you will visit Candirejo, a traditional Javanese village located near Borobudur. Here, you will get an insight into the local Javanese lifestyle and experience the culture by participating in traditional activities such as batik making, farming, and Javanese dance performances.

After lunch, we will return to the hotel for some rest.

On the third day, you will visit the Yogyakarta Palace (Keraton Yogyakarta), a palace complex that reflects the grandeur and cultural heritage of Java. With beautiful architecture and rich artistic details, Keraton Yogyakarta is a symbol of traditional power and beauty. You can explore the palace rooms, view art collections, and understand its rich history.

Next, you will visit Taman Sari, a stunning former royal complex. It is famous for its beautiful swimming pools and lush gardens. Here, you can experience the elegance and tranquility of the water gardens designed for the enjoyment of the royal family in the past.

After lunch, we will take you to Malioboro, the main street in downtown Yogyakarta, renowned for its various shops, stalls, and shopping attractions.

Today, you will embark on a long journey of approximately 9 to 13 hours from Yogyakarta to Tosari, the location of Mount Bromo. First, you will take a train from Yogyakarta to Malang station and then continue the journey from Malang by car to the hotel near Bromo.

Using a jeep, today we will take you to Pananjakan to witness the sunrise. Pananjakan is a popular hilltop for observing the sunrise with the backdrop of Mount Bromo, Mount Batok, and Mount Semeru. After witnessing the sunrise, many tourists descend to the crater of Mount Bromo. Mount Bromo is one of the most famous volcanoes in Indonesia, located in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park in East Java. You can either ride a horse or walk up the stairs leading to the rim of the crater.

Next, you will continue the journey to Banyuwangi. This journey takes approximately 5 to 7 hours.

In the middle of the night, we will take you to the Ijen crater using a jeep. The Ijen crater is a volcanic crater located in the Ijen National Park, East Java, Indonesia. This crater is famous for its unique natural phenomenon, the blue fire, which occurs at night. It happens when sulfur gas from the crater ignites, producing a bluish-green flame. For the climb to the Ijen crater, it's advisable to wear warm clothing as the temperature at altitude can be very cold, especially at night. It's also recommended to wear a mask or protective cloth because sulfur gas can cause irritation.
