Itinerary

The name Sawah Cancar is associated with the geometric pattern formed by these rice fields. This pattern resembles an expansive spider web, hence the name 'Spider Rice Fields.' From elevated observation points around the Sawah Cancar area, you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of these rice fields, especially on clear days.

Next, we will take you to Todo Village, renowned for its traditional houses called 'Mbaru Niang.' These houses have tall structures with roofs shaped like water buffalo horns. Mbaru Niang serves not only as a residence but also has social and religious functions. Todo Village is inhabited by the Manggarai community, who live a traditional life while adhering to ancestral customs and traditions. You can observe the daily activities of the community, including farming and traditional crafts.

Afterward, you will visit Lake Rana Mese. This lake is situated at an altitude of around 1,200 meters above sea level and is surrounded by dense tropical forests. The area around Lake Ranamese boasts a rich ecosystem with various types of flora and fauna. Endemic birds and diverse plant species can be found around the lake. Due to its location in the midst of the forest, it's advisable to bring suitable equipment, such as comfortable footwear.

First, we will visit Wolobobo Sunrise Hill, a hill famous for witnessing beautiful sunrises on Flores Island. From the hill's peak, you can enjoy a spectacular panorama, especially during sunrise.

Next is Ogi Waterfall, located in the beautiful and natural region of Flores Island. This waterfall offers a serene and refreshing atmosphere, providing a close-to-nature experience.

Then, we will visit Bena Village, a traditional village of the Bajawa tribe, renowned for its unique traditional houses. These houses have distinctive structures with tiered roofs and beautiful carvings called "Ngadhu" and "Bhaga." Ngadhu, the umbrella-shaped pole, symbolizes ancestors and ancestral spirits. Bhaga, the elevated house structure, represents family and daily life. You can explore the traditional houses, interact with the locals, and gain a deeper understanding of the life and culture of the Bajawa tribe.

Finally, we will take you to Malanage Hot Springs. Malanage Hot Springs originate from natural hot springs that emerge from the earth. Natural hot springs are often known to contain minerals believed to have health benefits. Some people believe that soaking in hot water can help relieve tense muscles and improve skin health.

Today, we will visit Blue Stone Beach, also known as "Batu Cermin" Beach. It is named Batu Cermin (Mirror Stone) due to the presence of blue and green stones scattered along the shore. These stones exhibit unique colors and shine when exposed to sunlight. The beach is a great place to enjoy the natural scenery, stroll along the coastline, and, of course, admire the unique colored stones.

Afterward, we will visit the exile house of Bung Karno in Ende. Bung Karno was exiled by the Dutch government as he was a prominent figure openly advocating for the independence of various Dutch colonies. This house bears witness to Sukarno's struggle for Indonesia's independence. Since Bung Karno's departure, the house has been turned into a museum. The community, along with the government, has worked to collect Sukarno's belongings, restore, and preserve them as historical memorabilia.

Next on the itinerary is Kelimutu Lake, located in the Flores Mountains. The main uniqueness of Kelimutu Lake lies in its ever-changing water colors. The color changes are caused by dissolved minerals and volcanic gases in the water. These colors can shift over time, sometimes due to volcanic activity or changes in chemical composition. Kelimutu Lake holds spiritual and religious significance for the local community.

Then, we will take you to the village of Moni. Moni Village is a small village situated at the foot of Mount Kelimutu, approximately 12 kilometers from Kelimutu Lake. The journey to Moni Village offers beautiful natural landscapes, including hills and rice fields. You will spend the night in this village.
